was always a fan of the bionic commando hacking mini game.
Yeah, even though it was relatively simple it never bothered me that it had absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the gameplay or even real hacking. A realistic hacking mini-game would be freaking boring, actually. This is along the same lines as Bioshock's hacking:
You could get vending machines to give you a limited amount of free stuff if you were successful at the Pipe-dreams "hacking".
To address the title of this thread, the E.Y.E. review shows a good example of how we can get creative with mini-games, but I
don't think this is the kind of game review we want. One of the first things the reviewer says is "...It's user-unfriendly, unpolished, and unbalanced..." and each time he praises the game after that is only after describing how frustrating and nigh-unplayable it is. Let's be sure to not take our inspiration from those parts
